7 Crystals That Should NOT Be in Your Bedroom

I adore crystals and their wonderful energies. They can transform any space, but not all crystals are suitable for every part of your home.

The bedroom, in particular, is a sacred space for rest and relaxation. Some crystals can be too stimulating or disruptive to your sleep.

Today, I’m sharing which crystals you might want to keep out of your bedroom to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep.

Crystals That Should NOT Be in Your Bedroom

1. Amethyst

Amethyst is known for its spiritual and protective properties. However, its high vibrations can be too stimulating for the bedroom.

  • Personal Experience: I love amethyst and have it in many parts of my home. However, I once kept a large amethyst cluster on my nightstand. My dreams were vivid but often left me feeling restless. Moving it to my living room made a big difference, and my sleep improved significantly.

2. Clear Quartz

Clear Quartz is the “Master Healer” and an energy amplifier. While it’s fantastic for many uses, its powerful energy can be too much for a restful sleep environment.

  • Personal Experience: I had a clear quartz point on my bedside table to amplify positive energy. Instead, I found it amplified my thoughts and kept my mind racing at night. Placing it in my meditation space allowed me to benefit from its properties without disrupting my sleep.

3. Selenite

Selenite is known for its cleansing and high-vibration properties. It’s great for spiritual work, but its intense energy can be overwhelming in the bedroom.

  • Personal Experience: I placed a selenite wand under my pillow, hoping for peaceful dreams. Instead, I found myself waking up multiple times during the night. Moving the selenite to my altar helped restore tranquility to my sleep.

4. Carnelian

Carnelian is a vibrant stone known for boosting energy and creativity. Its stimulating properties make it less than ideal for the bedroom.

  • Personal Experience: I once kept a carnelian stone on my nightstand, hoping to inspire morning motivation. Instead, it felt like my mind was racing with ideas all night. Now, I keep carnelian on my desk, where its energy helps me stay focused and creative during the day.

5. Citrine

Citrine is known for its joyful and energizing properties. It’s wonderful for motivation and abundance but can be too stimulating for a sleep environment.

  • Personal Experience: I had a small citrine cluster in my bedroom, thinking it would bring positive vibes. Instead, I found it difficult to wind down at night. Placing it in my home office has brought a bright, cheerful energy to my workspace without disrupting my sleep.

6. Moldavite

Moldavite is a powerful stone of transformation with intense vibrations. Its energy can be too overwhelming for a restful sleep.

  • Personal Experience: I tried sleeping with moldavite near my bed, expecting transformative dreams. What I got were nights of disrupted sleep and an overactive mind. Moving moldavite to my spiritual corner has allowed me to harness its powerful energy during meditation without affecting my rest.

7. Turquoise

Turquoise is a protective and healing stone. While beneficial, its strong energy can sometimes disrupt a peaceful sleep environment.

  • Personal Experience: I placed turquoise under my pillow for protection. While I felt safe, I also found myself waking up frequently. Moving turquoise to my living room has allowed its protective energy to flow through my home without affecting my sleep.
